Nick Milazzo has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. In 2014, they worked as a barista at Starbucks. In 2015, they interned at Kindly Care, assisting with caregiver recruiting. Nick also participated in Middlebury College's MiddCORE program, where they completed various workshops and founded a pop-up campus service. In 2017, they were an athlete for Vesper Boat Club and served as the captain for Middlebury College Crew. In 2018, they worked as a summer intern at Peak Performance Physical Therapy and as an Emergency Medical Technician at Middebury Regional EMS. In 2020, they became the Lead Researcher and Editor-In-Chief of Study Summaries at Examine.com, where they write articles on diet, nutrition, and supplementation. Most recently, in 2021, they joined LegaSea Ecology LLC. as a contributing writer, focusing on marine biology and conservation.
Nick Milazzo began their education at NOLS in 2014, where they studied Wilderness Medicine and Rescue. Nick then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Middlebury College from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, Nick enrolled in The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and obtained a Master's degree in Medical Science in 2020. Continuing their education, they attended the University of Vermont in 2020 and 2021, earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Public Health. Alongside their academic pursuits, Nick obtained additional certifications as an Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI in December 2018 and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in April 2019.
