Rakhee Ojah-Maharaj

Rakhee Ojah-Maharaj is currently the Chief Delivery Officer at eXate. Prior to this, they spent five years at HSBC Global Banking and Markets as their Digital Programme Manager.

In their role at HSBC, Rakhee was responsible for identifying, securing, and onboarding a number of FinTechs to help accelerate the bank's digital and data transformation initiatives. These FinTechs became integral to the transformation process, and HSBC invested over $20 million in them. Rakhee and their team were also responsible for working with the procurement, deployment, and funding teams to ensure successful delivery.

In addition to their work with FinTechs, Rakhee also drove delivery in the Digital Assets team to encourage user adoption by using gamification techniques and internal marketing. Rakhee also helped HSBC with data-driven transformation by working on internal insights and alerts using machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Rakhee has a strong focus on data science and artificial intelligence projects, and served as the product owner for chatbots. their focus was on working with the data science team to ensure they were delivering business-specific bots. they also oversaw sample testing and product validation to ensure continuous business value from products delivered via the Digital Assets Programme.

In addition to their work on the Digital Assets Programme, Rakhee also managed team resource plans and Change the Bank and Run the Bank budgets for all Digital Asset Projects. they also produced bi-weekly and monthly steering committee status reports and project metrics.

Rakhee provided a relationship management role between Digital Assets, IT, and the internal business sponsors, ensuring smooth programme delivery.

Rakhee Ojah-Maharaj has a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science with Social Studies of Technology from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Rakhee also has a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Management from the University of Liverpool. In addition, they have certification from The Chief of Staff Association in The Chief of Staff Association Micro-Credentials and PRINCE2.com in Prince 2.
