David Fairbanks

David Fairbanks has extensive experience in the automotive and trucking industry. David began their career in 1996 as a 2nd Shift Shop Foreman at Midland Delivery Service, where they managed daily operations and provided reports on maintenance and employee performance. In 1999, they joined Volvo Trucks and held various roles including Technical Support Specialist, Service Training Instructor, and Fleet Service Coordinator/Technical Support Specialist. During their time at Volvo, they provided technical support on Mack and Volvo products, managed uptime agreements for fleet customers, and implemented process improvements. In 2009, they became a Spare Parts/Product Requirement Engineer at Volvo Trucks, handling parts assortment for engine installation and coordinating PMRs with aftermarket project management. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Technical Support and Dismantling Supervisor at Volvo Trucks, resolving part identification issues and implementing process improvements in customer service. In 2015, they joined GGS Information Services as a Diagnostic Engineer, gaining experience in diagnostic concepts and tools used for calibration and system diagnostics. In 2016, they became a District Service Representative at Daimler Trucks North America, and then in 2017, they assumed the role of Director of Fixed Operations at Excel Truck Group, overseeing multiple operational departments for truck dealerships in Virginia.

David Fairbanks earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Surry Community College from 2016 to 2018. David also holds a Diploma in Auto-Diesel Technology from Lincoln Tech - Nashville, which they obtained in 1995-1996. Furthermore, David Fairbanks completed a Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology from Wyoming County Vocational Technical Center from 1993 to 1995.
