Darren Brissett

Darren Brissett is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a 2nd Officer, LNG Regas Operator, and Control Room Operator at Excelerate Energy since July 2022, specifically on the FSRU Excellence and FSRU Exquisite. Prior to this, Darren held the position of 2nd Officer at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, focusing on navigation, cargo operations, and training from January 2021 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a 2nd Officer and a dedicated Navigation officer at Exmar from November 2015 to January 2021, and as a Watch Officer at Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd from September 2014 to November 2015. Darren began the maritime career as a Trainee Officer and Ordinary Seaman at Harren & Partner from September 2009 to May 2014, with foundational training as a Deck Cadet. Educational background includes an HND in Nautical Sciences from City of Glasgow College and an Associate's degree in Nautical Science from Caribbean Maritime University.
