Jennifer Wagner Chartier has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jennifer is currently the Vice President of Communications at ExcelinEd, where they are involved in transforming education to provide equal opportunities for all children. Prior to this, they were the owner of Mass Ave Public Relations, a woman-owned publicity and public relations company that worked with small to mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. Their work included public relations, media campaigns, website development, strategic planning, and internal communications projects.

Jennifer has also held the position of Vice President of Communications and Marketing at RISE INDY, where they worked from January 2022 to March 2023. Jennifer served as the Vice President of Communications at EdChoice from April 2016 until December 2021. In this role, they oversaw strategic messaging, marketing, and brand management for a national nonprofit focused on empowering parents and increasing access to K-12 schooling options.

In addition to their work in the education sector, Jennifer has worked in government and political campaign roles. Jennifer served as the Communications Director for the U.S. House of Representatives for a brief period in 2014. Jennifer was also the Founding Principal of Darvel Communications from June 2008 to April 2012. Jennifer worked as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the National Nuclear Security Administration from June 2009 to December 2010.

Jennifer's earlier career includes roles such as Communications Director for Jim Schellinger for Governor's campaign, Communications Director at the Indiana Democratic Party, and Business Development Manager at Barnes & Thornburg.

Jennifer Wagner Chartier has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington. Jennifer also holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Park Tudor School.
