Guy Sauvageau is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in the fields of medicine and research. Currently serving as a Professor of Medicine at Université de Montréal since January 1996, Sauvageau also holds the position of Research Scientist and Founder at the Institut de recherche en immunologie et en cancérologie (IRIC) since January 2003. As a Hematologist in the bone marrow transplantation unit at Hopital Maisonneuve Rosemont since January 1998, Sauvageau has contributed significantly to clinical practices. Additionally, Sauvageau serves as the Founder, CEO, and CSO at ExCellThera since September 2016, specializing in stem cell biology and genetics. From July 2018 to June 2023, Sauvageau chaired the scientific advisory board of the National Research Council of Canada HHT division. Prior positions include serving as a Scientist and Lab Director at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal from December 1995 to June 2003. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of British Columbia and degrees in Internal Medicine and Hematology, as well as a Doctor of Medicine from Université de Montréal.
