Darren Picciano

Darren Picciano has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Darren started their career at Interactive Data as a Financial Services Representative in 1999. In 2000, they joined Liberty Mutual Insurance and progressed through various roles including Business Analyst I and II, Senior Business Analyst, Manager of Affinity Marketing Underwriting, Reporting and Analysis, and Manager of Distribution Reporting. During their time at Liberty Mutual, they implemented the first Business Intelligence implementation strategy and managed a team of business analysts. In 2012, Darren joined the University of Rochester as the Reporting Team Lead for Workday Financials, where they were responsible for creating the strategic vision for the reporting and analytic solutions workstream. Since 2014, Darren has been working at Excellus BCBS, initially as the Manager of Business Intelligence Solutions and currently as the Director of Business Intelligence Solutions. Overall, Darren has a strong background in business intelligence, reporting, and analysis with a proven track record of implementing strategies and leading teams.

Darren Picciano has a strong educational background in business administration and finance, with a focus on computer applications. Darren obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame, which they attended from 1995 to 1999.

After working for a few years, Darren pursued further education to enhance their business knowledge and skills. Darren earned their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Boston University between 2003 and 2006, specializing in various aspects of business administration.

In addition to their formal education, Darren has also pursued professional development by obtaining various certifications. These certifications include "Giving and Receiving Feedback," "Unconscious Bias," and "Building a Better To-Do List," which were obtained from LinkedIn in 2021. These certifications reflect their commitment to continuous learning and improving their professional skills.
