Shyam Khurana

Shyam Khurana has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Shyam started their career as an Article Trainee at S. P. Puri and Co. Chartered Accountants in 1992. Shyam later became a Partner at Khurana & Khurana, Chartered Accountants in 1997.

In 1997, Khurana joined Business Standard Ltd. as an Assistant Manager. Shyam then moved to Satyam Computer Services Ltd. in 2000, where they worked in various roles, including Analyst, Technical Project Lead, Data Modeler, and Project Manager for a Global Datawarehouse Project. Shyam was also part of the team that won an award for Best Global Data Warehouse Project.

From 2009 to 2011, Khurana worked as a Specialist Master - Data Management at Deloitte Consulting. Shyam then joined Infosys in 2011 as a Principal Technology Architect before moving to Wipro in 2012.

At Wipro, Khurana served as a Director - Data, Analytics, and AI, overseeing various responsibilities such as Data Warehouse Architecture, Data Analytics Solution Architecture, and consulting and solution advisory. Shyam managed clients and engagements globally and achieved significant growth in sales.

In 2022, Khurana joined Excelra as a Director - Data, Analytics, and Digital Transformation. Shyam played a crucial role in leading the organization's growth, managing key accounts, developing capabilities, and focusing on top and bottom-line growth.

Currently, Khurana is working as the Global Practice Director - Data and Analytics at Birlasoft since 2023.

Shyam Khurana obtained a B.Com (Hons) degree in Business & Commerce from Delhi University from 1989 to 1992. In 1998, they completed a course as an Oracle Master at SQL Star International - Oracle Education Partner, specializing in Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Financial Application. Additionally, Shyam Khurana has obtained additional certifications such as Alation Professional Seller, Alation Data Analyst Advocate, Alation Data Steward, and Certified ThoughtSpot Data Expert.
