Imre M. has an extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Currently, Imre serves as the Head of Research and Development at ExcepGen since February 2021. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, Imre was the Head of Biologics at ExcepGen, Ltd.
Imre's previous experience also includes working at the University of Oxford as a Research Scientist and Team Leader from 2011 to 2020. In this role, Imre focused on developing carriers for biotherapeutic drugs, identifying novel drug targets, and studying the functional heterogeneity of extracellular vesicle networks.
Additionally, Imre worked at the University of Tartu as a PI, with personal research funding from the Estonian Research Council, from 2015 to 2018. Imre M. began their education at the University of Tartu in 2004, where they pursued a MSc degree in Applied physics, medical physics and biomedical engineering. They completed their MSc in 2007.
