John Gillam's work experience includes:

- Global Digital & Cloud transformation IT Director at Exclusive Networks since March 2023.

- CTO & CDO at TM Forum from November 2018 to May 2022. John advised C-suite and C-suite-1 on leveraging standards in software and architecture, led a team of developers for TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA), and coached teams to showcase innovation.

- Global CTO Cloud Services at BT Global Services from June 2008 to September 2018. John led the digital transformation program of the BT Compute line of business and developed and launched global services, including cloud computing and multi-tenanted digital business services.

- Programme Director for Web21C Autonomics & SLAs at BT Global Services from June 2008 to November 2008. John led a virtual team and developed cloud as a global strategy.

- Convergence Services Global Sourcing & Synergies Programme at BT Global Services from January 2007 to June 2008. John drove organizational restructuring and the autonomics and SLA component of the 'Web21C' program.

John Gillam attended Bracondale School from 1982 to 1988. From 1988 to 1990, they studied at Norwich City College and earned a degree in Telecommunications. John continued their education at Norwich City College from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained an HND degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
