Cj Song

CJ (Chunjuan) Song is a seasoned professional in the field of genetics and neuroscience, currently serving as Vice President of CNS Disease/Pharmacology and Toxicology at Exegenesis Bio since January 2022. Prior experience includes directing CNS Disease Research at the Gene Therapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania from November 2019 to January 2023, and working as a Scientist at AGTC from October 2014 to November 2019, focusing on gene therapy for genetic disorders. CJ completed a postdoctoral associate role at the University of Florida, researching autophagy in AMD models, and held a research assistant position at Iowa State University, contributing to projects on neurodegeneration and hybridization temperature calibration. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Genetics with a co-major in Neuroscience from Iowa State University, a Master’s degree in Genetics, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, both obtained from Nankai University.
