Jose Ricardo Perez

Jose Ricardo Perez has extensive work experience in the medical field, starting in 1990 with a postgraduate residency at University Hospital. Jose Ricardo then worked as a Medical Director for Representaciones Nolver, where they provided strategic planning and clinical oversight. Perez later served as a Medical Advisor for Schering-Plough, Novartis Venezuela S, and Novartis Colombia, providing medical support for marketing strategies and clinical trials. Jose Ricardo also worked as a Medical Team Leader for ANCAC and Novartis Colombia, overseeing activities such as scientific liaison, Life Cycle Management, and training. Perez joined Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation as a Global Brand Medical Director for Zometa®, focusing on strategy and implementation. Jose Ricardo continued their career at Novartis, holding positions such as Senior Director Medical Affairs and Executive Medical Director, before joining Exelixis as the Vice President for GU Portfolio in Medical Affairs.

Jose Ricardo Perez has a diverse education history. Jose Ricardo obtained their Specialist in Internal Medicine with a focus on Clinical Oncology from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where they also earned their Medical Doctor degree. Additionally, they completed a Specialist program in Clinical Oncology at the Instituto de Oncología. Prior to their medical education, they completed their high school education at Liceo Francisco Espejo, earning a Bachiller en Ciencias. Jose also pursued additional certifications, including the HIGH5 Strengths Test from HIGH5TEST and a Certificate of Completion in AMA’s Budgeting Workshop from the American Management Association.
