Lisa Belmont

Lisa Belmont has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of oncology research. Lisa has held various leadership roles in companies such as Exelixis, Berkeley SkyDeck, IDEAYA Biosciences, Genentech, and Cytokinetics, Inc. At Exelixis, Lisa served as the VP and Head of Oncology Discovery, leading a team of researchers in supporting small molecule drug discovery projects. Lisa also held the positions of Executive Director and Senior Director of Scientific Strategy at Exelixis. Lisa's responsibilities at IDEAYA Biosciences included leading biology efforts for synthetic lethal oncology targets and identifying new targets and collaborations. At Genentech, they were a Group Leader, overseeing biology teams for new oncology targets and leading oncology biomarker teams in early clinical development. Lisa also worked as a Senior Group Leader at Cytokinetics, Inc, providing leadership for target validation and translational research in oncology. Prior to their industry experience, they were a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.

Lisa Belmont obtained a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1988. Lisa then pursued a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, which they completed in 1995.
