Venu Kamarthapu

Venu Kamarthapu, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Scientist II at Exelixis since January 2023, with previous roles including Sr. Scientist - Manager at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Staff Scientist at the same institution. Venu's extensive research experience includes groundbreaking discoveries in DNA repair pathways and the biochemical characterization of RNA polymerase complexes, leading to significant publications in prestigious journals such as NATURE and SCIENCE. Venu has also held positions as a Senior Consultant at Omnicyte and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both New York University School of Medicine and the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, contributing to high-impact projects and resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications. Venu earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Osmania University, following a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Periyar University.
