Alexis Ekstrom has a long and varied work experience. Alexis began their career in 2007 as a Forensic Case Manager at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. In 2009, they became a Case Manager at Martin Memorial Health Systems, where they developed an ED case management program and created KPIs for the ED case management department. In 2012, they joined Cleveland Clinic as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Applications Analyst, and Workflow Facilitator. In their role as Workflow Facilitator, they were responsible for projects related to process changes needed as a result of Epic implementation. In 2017, they joined Exerp as an Implementation Consultant, Consulting Team Lead, and VP - Client Engagement. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Member at Chief.

Alexis Ekstrom has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida, which they obtained between 2014 and 2016. Alexis also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from the University of Florida, which they obtained between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, they have attended Columbia University. Ekstrom has also obtained several certifications, including an Epiccare Inpatient ClinDoc Badge from Epic in February 2016, a Cogito Project Manager from Epic in December 2015, a Radar Certification from Epic in November 2015, a Reporting Workbench Certification from Epic in November 2015, a Clinical Case Management Badge from Epic in October 2015, an ASAP Emergency Department Certification from Epic in August 2014, an EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation Certified from Epic in August 2013, and a Certified Member (CM) from American Mensa.
