Nick Young, CTS

Nick Young, CTS, has a diverse work experience in the audiovisual technology industry. Nick is currently working as a Senior Account Manager at Exertis Almo since 2022. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2022, they served as an AV Field Solution Architect - Classroom Transformation at CDW-G, where they specialized in audiovisual technology for educational spaces.

Nick has also worked at the Art Institute of Chicago in various roles, including Associate Director of Media Production and Services from 2017 to 2018, Manager of Audio Visual from 2011 to 2017, and Projectionist from 2007 to 2011. Nick started their career as a Sound Engineer at Uncommon Ground from 2009 to 2016.

Before that, Nick worked as an Event Technology Specialist at PSAV in 2006 and as a Sound Engineer at Upfront and Company in 2005. Nick began their professional journey as a Live Recordist and Sound Engineer at Public Radio 90 WNMU-FM from 2003 to 2006.

Nick Young, CTS, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Media Production and Communication from Northern Michigan University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Dante Certification Level 1 and Level 2 from Audinate, Digital Signage Certified Expert from the Digital Signage Experts Group, 100 Level and 200 Level Atlona Certified Technologist from Atlona, Kramer Control System Designer Certification (KCSDC 301) from Kramer Electronics US, Audia for Technicians and TesiraForte Training from Biamp Systems, Yamaha Digital Consoles (M7CL) from Yamaha Corporation of America, and Certified Technology Specialist from AVIXA.
