Glenn Ward has extensive work experience in various roles within the telecommunications industry. Glenn started their career at Thales as a Trainee Technical Officer with Australian Defence Industries. Glenn then moved on to work as a Senior Sales Engineer at Fluke Corporation before joining Nilsen (VIC) Pty Ltd as a State Sales Manager for NSW.

Afterwards, Glenn joined JDSU where they served as a Regional Sales Manager for Australia, NZ, and Pacific Islands, as well as a National Key Account Manager and New Zealand Territory Manager.

Glenn then transitioned to Singtel Optus, where they held the positions of Senior Business Development Manager and National Sales Manager for Wholesale Major Accounts.

Currently, they are employed at Exetel, where they have held several roles, including Director Sales and Products, Director Carrier Relations, and their current position as Director Residential Business Unit. In these roles, Glenn has been responsible for P&L management, product strategy, go-to-market planning, tender management, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and building relationships with key industry suppliers.

Throughout their career, Glenn has demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully implementing reorganizations and growth initiatives to drive sales and product development.

Glenn Ward's education history begins in 1978 when they attended Holy Cross College in Ryde, where they completed their High School Certificate (HSC) in the field of study being high school. From 1986 to 1989, Glenn studied Electronics & Communications Engineering at North Sydney College of TAFE, earning a Diploma in that field. In 1996, they pursued a Diploma in Marketing Management at North Sydney College of TAFE, and also obtained a Certificate in Marketing from Meadowbank College of TAFE. In 2009, Glenn earned a Certificate in Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) from Six Sigma - Optus.

In addition to their formal education, Glenn Ward obtained two certifications later in their career. In August 2021, they completed the course "Becoming Head of Sales: Developing Your Playbook" offered by LinkedIn. In May 2023, they obtained a certification in "Finance for Non-Finance Managers" from the Australian Institute of Management.
