Oliver Bycroft has extensive work experience in the field of sports education and coaching. Oliver currently holds the position of Deputy Head of Faculty at Exeter College since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked at South Essex College of Further and Higher Education as an Advanced Practitioner & Higher Education Lecturer from February 2018 to September 2019. Oliver also served as a Lecturer - BSc Sport Studies at the same institution, where they led, planned, delivered, and assessed various Higher Education modules.
In 2017, Oliver worked as a Strength And Conditioning Coach at The Rayleigh Club, where they focused on designing and implementing conditioning programs. Previously, at Exeter College, they held the role of Programme Manager - FdA Football Coaching & Development from August 2013 to December 2016, and before that, they worked as a Sports Lecturer from February 2012 to August 2013. Oliver also gained experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Torquay United Football Club from February 2012 to September 2012.
Throughout their career, Oliver has demonstrated expertise in sports science, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and football coaching and development. Oliver has also undertaken research related to the optimal force-velocity profile within an adolescent street dance cohort.
Oliver Bycroft MSc ASCC obtained a Master's degree in Sports Strength and Conditioning from the University of Gloucestershire from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Sport & Exercise Sciences from the same university from 2008 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they hold the certification of "UKSCA - Fully Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach" from the UKSCA, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not mentioned.
