Programme Leader For Engineering And Sustainability at Exeter College

Richard Masters has extensive work experience in various roles. Richard is currently employed at Astir Learning as a Learning Facilitator for Advanced Apprenticeships. Prior to this, they worked at Exeter College as the Programme Leader for Engineering and Sustainability. Richard has also served as the Principal Operational Planner for Maritime Communications at Maritime Component Command - Naples, where they were responsible for planning naval operations in support of United Nations mandates and other missions. Richard also held the position of Executive Officer at the NATO CIS Services Agency, managing a large team across multiple countries. In addition, Richard worked in the Royal Navy as the Head of Faculty for Marine and Air Engineering, where they implemented innovative technology in classrooms. Richard began their career as a Surface Flotilla Training Officer at Flag Officer Surface Flotilla, where they advised on training and educational needs for the Fleet.

Richard Masters has a diverse education history. Richard obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University, where they attended from 1976 to 1980. In 1996 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Arts (Ed Tech) in Educational Technology at the University of Bath. Later, from 2000 to 2001, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Defence Studies at King's College London. Additionally, they earned a Cert Ed (QTTLS Embeded) in Education from the University of Plymouth, attending from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they also obtained a Cert Ed in Education from the same university during the same period.
