Sally Wolkowski

Sally is Head of Application Services at the Met Office, where she has responsibility for forecast production strategy and maintenance and improvement of key products and services, including the National Meteorological Library & Archive.

Prior to this role, Sally was Head of Operations Strategic Improvement where she led a major investment program for the redevelopment of how weather forecasts are created. In the 5 years prior, she held the role of Head of the Met Office College. In this latter post, she was appointed to lead a review of the global standard for meteorologists by the World Meteorological Organisation and was invited to become a visiting scholar at the University of Reading. Her leadership experience stretches from strategy development and business planning to strategic account management for central government customers.
