Toon Venneman

Toon Venneman has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology field. Toon is currently serving as an Associate Scientist in Preclinical Development at ExeVir, where they support the development of a COVID-19 therapeutic and advances preclinical pipeline candidates.

Prior to this, Toon worked at Antelope Dx as an Associate Scientist in Assay Development. In this role, they led a project to develop a diagnostic test for detecting human viruses using innovative lab-on-chip technology.

Toon also has experience at MyCartis, where they held multiple roles. As an Assay Developer, they were responsible for developing multiplex molecular and immunoassays. Toon also served as a Back-up Field Service Engineer, gaining a deep understanding of the company's Evalution® RUO platform. Additionally, they worked as a Laboratory Technician, supporting the development and provision of immuno-diagnostic assays for clinical users.

Toon's work experience also includes a Master Thesis Project at Ghent University.

Toon Venneman has a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Ghent University. Additionally, they have a certification in Laboratory Animal Science Category B from UGent - VIB.
