Jose Alberto Hernandez has worked in the software development industry since 2007. In 2007, they were a Software Engineer at Corporacion de Cobranza, where they were responsible for data analysis, design, and development of a full-text search engine, as well as acting as a database administrator. While there, they were able to reduce the search time of 5 minutes to 1 minute in over 100 million string records, as well as solve the name abbreviation problem by creating a dictionary catalog. In 2008, they moved to NCR Mexico as a Professional Services Consultant, where they designed, developed, and maintained ATM system projects for clients worldwide. Jose Alberto was also in charge of the development of the self-help kiosk for Telcel, the payment and check cashier ATM for CITIBANK Colombia, and development of components and controls for other projects. In 2010, they joined Prolog S.A. de C.V. as a Senior Software Programmer, where they were responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of several projects related to GPS location for their clients. Jose Alberto also researched, assessed, and integrated new locators from different providers, as well as designed, developed, and maintained a component that could wrap the functionality of Google Maps. In 2014, they moved to HCL as a Senior Software Programmer, where they were responsible for change management for MLP - Insurance Policy Management system for Esurance. Jose Alberto was able to design and develop a history of changes made in the different policies, which allowed other projects to incorporate “undo” functionality and helped to track undocumented bugs by following the change history. In 2015, they joined Infosys as a Technology Architect, where they were responsible for refactoring and process analysis. Jose Alberto was able to reduce a report that was taking several hours to complete to 35 minutes. In 2017, they moved to HCL Technologies as a .NET Developer Senior, and in 2020, they joined Exigo as a .NET Developer Senior, where they were responsible for defect solution and systems maintenance, refactoring, and process analysis on services for 6 different systems, as well as automated unit testing and CI/CD.
Jose Alberto Hernandez attended Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Ecatepec, where they earned a degree in Computer System Engineering with a focus in Database Design.
