Romain Touja

Romain Touja is currently the Director of Extraction at EXMceuticals. Prior to this, they worked as the Responsable de site INNOCAPS at INNOV'IA from June 2017 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing the industrial site of INNCOCAPS, a subsidiary of INNOV-IA specializing in the custom manufacturing of powders for the Food, Fine Chemistry and Cosmetic industries. Romain was also responsible for coordinating the teams of Production, Quality, Maintenance and Logistics, as well as collaborating with the different services of the different sites of the group. Touja began their career as an engineer research in nutraceutique at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) Canada from January 2013 to September 2013. There they conducted studies on the anticancer effects of phenolic compounds from small red fruits and probiotic bacteria from industrial fermented milk. Romain also extracted phenolic compounds using HPLC and bacterial membrane composites using qrT-PCR.

Romain Touja has a Master's degree in Ingénierie Nutraceutique from Université de Rennes 1, a Master 1 in Microbiologie, Agrobioscience et Biologie des Systèmes from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, and a Licence in Microbiologie, Agrobioscience et Biologie des Systèmes from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III. Romain also has a degree in Médecine from Faculté de médecine Purpan in Toulouse.

Romain Touja reports to Jonathan Summers, CEO and Chairman of the board. Romain Touja works with Michael Kinley - CFO, Paulo Martins - Country Director Portugal, and Christophe Janicot - Director Laboratory Operations.
