Wael Makarem has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Wael currently serves as the Senior Market Strategist - MENA at Exness since July 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Market Analyst at ICM.com from February 2018 to June 2021. Wael also has experience as a Market Analyst and Private Banker at Credit Financier Invest from February 2015 to January 2018. Additionally, Wael worked as a Trader at FXCM MENA from December 2013 to January 2015. Wael began their career as an Intern at Banque du Liban in July 2012 and later served as an Intern at IHG - InterContinental Hotels Group from June 2011 to August 2011.

Wael Makarem, CIMA®, ACSI, completed a Certified Investment Management Analyst Program from The Wharton School in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance from the American University of Beirut from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Wael Makarem has also obtained several certifications. These include the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) from Wharton Executive Education in August 2021. Wael has also received certifications such as the Certificate in Securities (United Arab Emirates), Investment Operations Certificate (United Arab Emirates), Risk in Financial Services, The United Arab Emirates Financial Rules and Regulations, International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management, and Introduction to Securities & Investment from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) between 2020 and 2021.
