Kannan Sidharthan

Kannan Sidharthan has extensive work experience in the field of QA automation, product integration, and DevOps. Kannan is currently employed as a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Exness, starting in April 2022. Prior to this role, Kannan worked at Extreme Networks from July 2017 to April 2022, where they played a key role in designing and implementing a keyword driven automation framework and mentoring inexperienced team members. During their time at Extreme Networks, they also created various automated test suites, resulting in significant time savings for the company.

Before joining Extreme Networks, Kannan worked at Avaya from November 2010 to July 2017, holding roles in DevOps, Virtualization, and QA leadership. In these positions, they developed scripts for building and deploying VMware and KVM based Fabric Orchestrator, supported partners in upgrading and recovering the Production Environment, and planned build strategies using Jenkins. Additionally, Kannan promoted a Test-Driven Development approach in their team at Avaya, ensuring enhanced product quality through testable scenarios and automated Selenium WebDriver tests.

Prior to Avaya, Kannan gained experience as a Senior Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies from November 2005 to October 2010. In this role, they were responsible for gathering requirements, test plan estimation, test strategy planning, and maintaining a regression testing framework using PERL automation. Kannan also provided technical training and built test captive environments for efficient test execution.

Kannan Sidharthan began their education in 1992 at St Joseph's Public School in Pattanacad, where they studied for two years. Kannan then attended Our Own English High School in Al-Ain, Abu Dhabi from 1994 to 1996. Following this, they joined the Indian School in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi for their secondary education, with the tenure spanning from 1996 to 2001. Finally, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from the University of Kerala, from 2001 to 2005.
