Daniel Heineck

Senior Scientist at EXOKĒRYX

Daniel Heineck has a diverse work experience spanning multiple scientific and research positions. Daniel began their career as an Engineering Intern at LLNL in 2005. Daniel then pursued their education, completing their Ph.D. in the ECE Department at the University of California at San Diego, where they conducted research on dielectrophoretic devices and nanowire biophotonics. Heineck also worked as an Engineer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Center for Micro and Nano Technology.

Following their education, Heineck worked as a Graduate Student at Oregon State University before joining the Oregon Health and Science University as a Postdoctoral Scholar. At Oregon Health and Science University, they focused on liquid biopsy research, developing microfluidic assemblies for super-resolution microscope systems and dielectrophoretic chip systems.

Heineck then transitioned to Biological Dynamics, where they initially held the position of Process Scientist. Daniel later advanced to the role of Senior Scientist, contributing to the company's scientific endeavors. Currently, Heineck is a Senior Scientist at EXOKĒRYX, employing their expertise in scientific research and development.

Daniel Heineck completed their education in a chronological order, beginning with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University, which they acquired from 2002 to 2006. Daniel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2006 to 2008. Lastly, from 2009 to 2017, Daniel attended UC San Diego, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering. Daniel'seducational focus during their PhD was on Photonics coursework and medical diagnostics research.
