Michael West

Michael West is the current Chief Technical Officer at Exopharm. Michael has also served as a Non Executive Director at FGS Pty Ltd and as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of R&D at Anatara LifeSciences.

West began their career as a Postdoctoral Scientist at SmithKline Beecham in 1991, where they worked on HIV-1 Protease and HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase. Michael left the company in 1993 to join Salute Products.

In 2019, West joined FGS Pty Ltd as a Non Executive Director. Michael held this position until 2021, when they joined Exopharm as the CTO.

Michael West graduated from Ignatius Park College before studying a B.Sc in Chemistry and a PhD in chemistry at James Cook University. Michael then undertook the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Company Directors Course and the MIP Industrial Property course at University of Technology Sydney.

Their manager is Ian Dixon, CEO. They work with Daisy Scarborough - COO, David Oxley - President, International, and Johannes Mühl - SVP, Finance.
