Stephen Ryan

Stephen Ryan has worked for a number of companies since 1983. Stephen began their career as a Crewman on a shrimp trawler in 1983. In 1984, they worked as an Engineering Assistant at Maloney Steel Ltd., a Technical Assistant at Environment Canada, and a Mechanical Maintenance at Halifax International Airport. From 1987 to 1988, they were a Research Assistant at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. Stephen then moved on to the Defense Research Establishment as a Research Assistant. In 1997, they returned to the Bedford Institute of Oceanography as a Physical Oceanographer. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Social Media Coordinator at the National Space Society and an Advisor and Media Coordinator at Enterprise In Space. In 2018, they began working as a Media Specialist at EXOS Aerospace Systems & Technologies.

Stephen Ryan obtained their Certificate of Applied Science in Engineering from Acadia University in 1982. Stephen then obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Dalhousie University in 1988. In addition, they also obtained an honours certificate in Physics from Dalhousie University in 1988. Stephen then obtained their Associate's Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Nova Scotia in 1997. In 1986, Stephen Ryan also obtained their PADI Open Water Scuba Diving certification. Stephen also attended Woodlawn High School.
