Ling Yun Tang

User Experience Researcher at Exostar

Ling Yun Tang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2005, they started their career as a Gallery Assistant at Chinese Contemporary Gallery. Ling Yun then worked as an Archivist for Chinese Works of Art at Sotheby's in 2007. From 2009 to 2013, they served as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. After that, they became a Lecturer at Christie's Education until February 2019. From August 2017 to June 2019, they also worked as a Thesis Advisor at Sotheby's Institute of Art. In 2019, they founded Plum Creative Advisory. In 2021, they worked as a UX Researcher and Designer at Dadavault, followed by a role as a User Experience Researcher at Exostar. Currently, they hold the position of User Experience Researcher at Meta since May 2022.

Ling Yun Tang holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Yale University. Ling Yun also has a B.A. in Sociology from Wellesley College. In 2020, they completed a Certificate in UXUI Program from The George Washington University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Brand Strategy for Designers from LinkedIn in March 2021.
