Ismail Ahmad has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.

Starting in 2014, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Total, where they conducted research on flow patterns and produced engineering drawings for a new pump. Ismail also assisted the archiving team in restructuring data files for improved efficiency.

In 2015, Ismail interned at Mercedes-Benz in the UK, focusing on the analysis of vehicle faults and optimizing repair strategies. Ismail gained experience in disassembling engines and exploring repair strategies for Mercedes-Benz B Class models.

From 2017 to 2019, Ismail worked as a Software Developer at NOVA Drones, developing gesture control and machine learning algorithms for drones. Ismail also designed prototype drone hardware and created autonomous indoor flight algorithms.

During the same period, Ismail started working at tinytriangle.co.uk, where they served as a Portfolio Engineer. Ismail designed and engineered various products and prototypes, utilizing finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and vibrational analysis to optimize components. Ismail prioritized sound engineering principles to ensure the suitability of their designs in the real world.

In 2020, Ismail took on the role of CTO at VOLVE, a company they co-founded during their university years. VOLVE aimed to accelerate engineering and developed the world's first AI-generated product in partnership with Autodesk. They raised $1.7 million in funding from leading VC's and angel investors but ultimately decided to wind down the company due to the lack of sustainable growth.

Finally, in 2023, Ismail joined Exovolar Industries as the Lead Product Engineer.

Ismail Ahmad attended UCL from 2015 to 2019, where they graduated with a 1st Class (Hons) Mechanical Engineering MEng degree. Ismail'sfield of study was engineering. In November 2020, Ismail obtained additional certifications from Autodesk, including the Autodesk Certified Associate in CAD for Mechanical Design, Autodesk Certified Associate in CAM for 2.5 Axis Milling, and Autodesk Certified Expert in Generative Design for Manufacturing.
