David Morera

David Morera has worked in the design industry since 2006. David began their career at D'Maorí Publicidad as a Graphic Designer, where they designed print materials for advertising campaigns, visual design for commercial websites and email campaigns, and brand visual identity design for local clients. In 2008, they moved to Mitosis as a Graphic Designer, where they worked on print and web projects, acted as a character designer and motion designer for web projects, and served as an illustrator for print and advertising. In 2011, they joined Kestudio as a Senior Designer, where they focused on visual identity design for brands, web design, motion design using Adobe Flash, packaging design, editorial design and illustration. From 2013 to 2018, they were self-employed as a User Experience Designer, managing multifaceted projects for various clients in the startup, non-profit, learning, and entertainment industries, and co-leading the design, business, and engineering teams in the development of creative and strategic solutions to intricate business problems. In 2014, they became a Design Consultant at Sustainable Agriculture Network, where they were the lead designer and part of the communications team as a permanent consultant, developing visual communication strategies and digital products, and co-creating and launching the Sustainable Agriculture Network global rebrand. In 2018, they began working at ExpatBuddy as a Director Of User Experience and a User Experience Designer. Finally, in 2022, they moved to Diesel Laptops as a Senior Product Designer and Lakeside Software as a Senior User Experience Designer.

David Morera's education history includes a Master's degree in Interaction Design from Universidad LCI Veritas from 2014 to 2015, and a Licenciatura in Graphic Design from Universidad de las Ciencias y el Arte de Costa Rica. In addition, they have obtained four certifications: Transformación Digital de Agronegocios from INCAE Business School in 2021, Behavioral Economics Bootcamp from Irrational Labs in 2020, Entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School Online in 2019, and Design Sprint Facilitator from AJ&Smart GmbH in 2018.
