Mike Dawes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2006, they started their career at Housing New Zealand Corporation as a Systems Consultant and later became the ICT Applications Support Manager. In 2012, they joined Core Technology Ltd as a Senior Infrastructure Consultant and eventually became the Consulting & Operations Manager, leading and growing an infrastructure consulting practice. In 2016, they moved to Certus Solutions Limited as the Consulting & Operations Manager before transitioning to IntegrationWorks as the NZ Delivery Manager. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as the Delivery Director at Paper Kite Ltd. Mike also founded Frog Consulting, a team of IT consultants based in Wellington. In 2013, they founded IT Heavy Hitters, an event that raised funds for suicide prevention. Additionally, Mike has been involved with The Key to Life Charitable Trust, serving as an Ambassador, CEO, and Member of the Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operations at Experieco and is the Founder and Board Chair of Heavy Hitters Charitable Trust.
Mike Dawes attended Bede College from 1993 to 1996, where they studied Business & IT. In 2010, they also received training in ITIL V3 Foundation from ALC Training.
