Dean van Zyl

Dean van Zyl is a seasoned cloud infrastructure and observability specialist with extensive experience in leading teams and managing complex projects. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at Expert Thinking, Dean orchestrated a significant cloud migration project for a Fortune 500 company. Prior roles include Principal Software Engineer at OutSystems, where contributions spanned observability management, multi-cloud infrastructure, and AIOps deployment. Dean's experience also encompasses team leadership as Observability Engineering Manager, and system operations management at Luno, where the SysOps team was established. With a solid foundation from positions at Amazon Web Services and other technology firms, Dean holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Stellenbosch University.
