Ross Peters

Ross has spent a lifetime building transformational learning environments. From founding an integrated Humanities Department to establishing an Honor System at a hundred-year-old boarding school, from reinventing the use of time to creating an urban campus in two schools ready for significant innovation, Ross has pushed the boundaries of what school could be and then helped schools get there. He’s served in leadership roles at the Asheville School, Hawken School, and The Westminster Schools among others.

A graduate of Sewannee: The University of the South, Ross earned his M.Ed. at the University of Georgia. He serves on the Board of the National Association of Independent Schools, and has served on the Boards of the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools and Bridges USA. A widely published poet and photographer, Ross recently provided the forward and more than one hundred photographs for the book Sacred Views: St. Francis and the Sacro Monte di Orta (Punctum Press, 2020).
