Ines Montani

Ines Montani is the CEO and founder of Explosion AI, a software company specializing in developer tools for Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. Ines is also the creator of spaCy, one of the leading open-source libraries for Natural Language Processing, and Prodigy, a modern annotation tool for creating training data for machine learning models.

Montani has always been interested in technology and its potential to change the world. After completing their undergraduate studies in computer science and linguistics, they worked as a software developer and then as a sales and marketing executive for Exberliner, a Berlin-based magazine. In 2015, they decided to become a freelance developer and started working on developing their own software projects.

In 2016, they founded Explosion AI with the goal of making cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technology accessible to everyone. Since then, the company has released several popular products, including spaCy and Prodigy, and has become one of the leading providers of AI software tools.
