The ideal candidate for the Director of Talent and Culture is a seasoned HR professional with a passion for fostering inclusive and dynamic workplaces. The Director of Talent and Culture role is a dynamic leadership position where you'll set strategic vision and drive cultural initiatives, while also rolling up your sleeves to execute and implement programs directly. This dual role requires both big-picture thinking and hands-on involvement to foster a thriving and inclusive workplace. We are seeking candidates who possess exceptional communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR compliance and best practices, and have a track record of building strong, inclusive, and engaged teams.
What Qualifications We Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Five years of progressive HR experience, with a preference experience as an HR Generalist.
In-depth knowledge of HR legal and regulatory environments, especially California employment regulations.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical and effective solutions.
A track record of fostering cooperation, collaboration, and partnerships.
Demonstrated integrity, compassion, credibility, and customer service orientation.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR practices.
Experience in providing honest and constructive coaching at all organizational levels.

Facilitate Training, Growth, and Performance Management:
Manage Benefits, Compensation, Compliance, and People Data and Systems
Manage all HR data, personnel records, and people systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and efficient access to information for reporting and decision-making.
Oversee the administration and management of employee benefits programs, ensuring they meet organizational needs and compliance standards, and serve as the liaison to health insurance providers and benefit brokers.
Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies, including incentive and variable pay programs, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals to reward and motivate employees effectively.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and reporting requirements and liaise with outside legal counsel as appropriate.
