Nikolay Semenikhin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nikolay started their career in 2006 as a Machinist/Machine Programmer at Tricon Tool Inc., where they operated various machines, heat-treated tool steel components, and drafted 3-D models using SolidWorks. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Cooperative Education Student at Lehigh Technologies, conducting research on the effects of micronized rubber powder on mechanical properties of rubber compounds. At the Georgia Institute of Technology, they served as both an Undergraduate Research Assistant (2012-2014) and a Graduate Research Assistant (2014-2019), contributing to research projects in their respective roles. Since 2019, Nikolay has been employed at Exponent, initially as an Associate and currently as a Senior Engineer.
Nikolay Semenikhin earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the same institution, graduating in 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, Nikolay Semenikhin obtained a certification as a Licensed Professional Engineer from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors in March 2023.
