Oleksandr Kosovan

Oleksandr Kosovan has a strong background in data science and machine learning. Oleksandr is currently serving as the Head of Data Science at ExpoPlatform since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Surprise.com as the Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer from May 2021 to September 2022.

Oleksandr also has extensive experience at Newfire Global Partners, where they worked as a Data Scientist for about three years from July 2018 to May 2021. During their tenure, they worked on various projects across different industries, including healthcare, fintech, and business intelligence. Notably, they built an anomalies/outliers detection model for clinic data in the healthcare sector and developed a service for automatic data quality reporting.

Oleksandr Kosovan also served as a Lecturer for the "Data Science/Machine Learning Fundamentals" course at IT Education Academy (ITEA) from December 2019 to March 2020. Oleksandr authored the course and guided three groups of students in understanding and utilizing data science concepts.

Additionally, they gained valuable experience as an Internship Data Scientist at Ralabs from December 2017 to June 2018. As part of the LITS program - Data Science School, they worked on a project predicting the success of Kickstarter projects. The project was published on their Kaggle profile and presented in scientific papers at the International scientific-practical conference "Problems of information economy of Ukraine formation."
