Elena Méndez

Elena Méndez has over 30 years of experience in banking and consulting, currently serving as the Regional Director for the Eastern Region of the Small Business Group at the Export-Import Bank of the United States since July 2012. Previously, Elena held the position of Vice President at Citibank, N.A., focusing on business development and cash and trade programs. As an Independent Consultant at ELME Consulting & Advisory Services, consulting services were provided to corporate and institutional clients in Florida, as well as Central and South America, with an emphasis on banking practices and regulatory compliance. Elena's earlier roles include Managing Director at BHD Cayman International Bank and Vice President positions at Citibank International and Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika AG. Elena holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages with a Business Minor from the University of Miami.
