Muhammad Farooq Akbar is an ACA and APFA professional with extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Muhammad is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Image Garments (Pvt.) Ltd., where they oversee a team of 20 people across multiple departments such as Accounts, Finance, Treasury, Import/Exports, and logistics. In this role, they play a key role in developing strategies for the organization and providing guidance on working capital planning for future growth.

Prior to their current position, Muhammad worked as the Chief Financial Officer at elo. Before that, they served as the Assistant General Manager Banking & Exports at Sadaqat Limited, where they successfully completed a project from scratch, arranging factoring for export receivables. Muhammad also managed receivables insurance, payment follow-up, export documentation, and logistics departments. Additionally, Muhammad monitored the operations of Sadaqat HK Limited, an associated company based in Hong Kong.

Muhammad's earlier work experience includes the role of Finance Manager at Sadaqat Limited and Sr. Manager Finance, Accounts, Tax & Import at Five Star Textile Industries. Muhammad started their career as an Audit Trainee at hyder bhimji & Co. Chartered Accountants.

Throughout their career, Muhammad has demonstrated strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of accounting principles. Muhammad is skilled in strategic planning, team management, and implementing financial systems. Their expertise in the field has allowed him to contribute significantly to the success of the organizations they have worked for.

Muhammad Farooq Akbar began their education at National Grammar High School, where they completed their Matriculation degree from 2000 to 2002. Muhammad then attended The Punjab College from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued an Intermediate in commerce.

In 2006, Akbar enrolled in The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, where they studied Financial and Cost Accountancy, Corporate and Tax Law. Muhammad completed their Chartered Accountant degree from this institute in 2018.

During their time at The Institute of Chartered Accountants, Akbar also pursued a Master's degree in Business/Commerce, General from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Muhammad obtained this degree from 2006 to 2018.

In 2015 and 2016, Akbar furthered their education in accounting and finance by attending the Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants. Muhammad earned a degree as a Public Finance Chartered Accountant during this period, specializing in Accounting and Finance, Tax, and Law.
