Karén Khachikyan

Karén Khachikyan has over five years of professional experience in the tech industry. From 2019 to present, they have been the Co-Founder & CEO of Expper Technologies, a company that builds an emotionally intelligent robot - Robin. Robin helps children remain hopeful and joyful during their medical treatments by reducing stress and anxiety. From 2015 to 2019, Karén worked as an Analog/Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer II and I at Synopsys Inc. Her roles included designing and porting of DDR I/O libraries, custom design and development of high speed Rx/Tx structures, reliability analysis, ESD design, layout review and optimization, costumer support, improving design flow, and documentation/datasheet generation.

Karén Khachikyan obtained their Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics and semiconductor devices from the National Polytechnical University of Armenia in 2016. Karén then went on to earn their Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university in 2018. In 2014, they received a Certificate of Achievement for Successful Completion of Bachelor Program in VLSI Design Specialization from Synopsys Inc. Karén is currently pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Polytechnical University of Armenia, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
