Klaas Buijs

Klaas Buijs is currently serving as a Team Lead at ExpreS2ion Biotechnologies, focusing on upstream processes. Prior to this role, Klaas held positions such as Principal Scientist and Senior Fermentation Scientist at BioPhero and Fermentation and Automation Scientist at Chr. Hansen. With a strong background in fermentation and process development, Klaas has also worked at BRAIN AG, Evolva Group, and Chalmers University of Technology, where Klaas completed their Ph.D. in Bioscience. Additionally, Klaas has experience in driving and internships in microbioreactor design. With a solid educational background in Life Science & Technology, Klaas has developed a broad skill set in microbial strain design and fermentation optimization.
