Philip Kneis

Philip Kneis is an experienced investment professional currently part of the investment team at Redalpine, focusing on seed and Series A investments in technology, particularly in frontier, hard tech, bio, and engineering sectors. In September 2023, Philip took on the roles of Lead Investor and Board Observer at both Apoha and ExpressionEdits, supporting innovative companies known as "The Liquid Brain" and "The Intronization Engine," respectively. Previously, Philip worked as an engineer at Empa, contributing to interdisciplinary materials and technology research, and held significant leadership roles at ETH juniors, where entrepreneurial and consultancy efforts led to successful project acquisitions. Additional engineering experience includes work at Koa Switzerland AG, involving scaling factory operations in Ghana. Philip's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Process Engineering from ETH Zürich, an Executive Program in Future Food & Ag Leadership from INSEAD, a GLC Leader designation from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from ETH Zürich.
