David Thol

David Thol has over 8 years of work experience in the software engineering and data analysis fields. David began their career in 2013, when they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics at SAP. During their studies, they completed internships in different areas, including building a PowerPoint export in SAP Innovation Management using JavaScript, writing database tests in the SAP core product, developing internal tools for Packaging and Knowledge Management, and working in the operation and 2nd level support for Managed Cloud Delivery.

In 2017, they joined Stocard as a Data Analyst and Backend Engineer. During their time there, they gained experience in coding NodeJS with TypeScript, Docker, Angular, React, and developing a push notification system using Mixpanel, NodeJS Streams, AWS DynamoDB and AWS Lamda.

In 2018, they completed a Master's Thesis in the area of Monitoring and Operating a Big Data Platform at ORDIX AG.

In 2019, they joined bettervest GmbH as a Full-Stack Software Engineer. During their time there, they contributed a major part of the reimplementation of the whole crowd investing platform, including user-facing apps and internal-facing management utilities. David also set up DevOps pipelines, learned a lot about self-organized work, and led the integration of third-party systems.

In 2021, they joined Neue Dönastie as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.

Currently, they are a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at ExpressSteuer.

David Thol completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics - Software Engineering from DHBW Mannheim between 2013 and 2016. Following this, they completed a Master of Science in Business Informatics - Data and Web Science from the University of Mannheim between 2016 and 2018.
