Pmp® Saad Alarifi Pml-Sp®

Saad Alarifi, PMP®, PMI-SP®, has a diverse range of work experience in project management and planning roles. Saad currently holds the position of Senior Project Controller at the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority, where they are responsible for overseeing the progress and compliance of infrastructure projects.

Prior to their current role, Saad worked as a Planning Engineer/Scheduler at Bechtel Corporation from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they monitored project progress and developed reports for management, as well as evaluated claims for extension of time and provided schedule analysis and recommendations.

From 2018 to 2019, Saad worked at Aramco SMP as a Planning Engineer/Scheduler. Here, they monitored and analyzed contractors' progress schedules, identified schedule variances, and implemented corrective actions to minimize delays. Saad also ensured the compatibility of the contractor's progress measurement system with the project's cost-loaded schedule.

Saad also gained experience as a Projects Manager at Consultancy Group in 2018, where they supported the Senior Project Manager in daily operations and reviewed monthly reports. Saad also studied new tenders, developed project plans, and explored joint venture opportunities with partners.

Earlier in their career, Saad worked as a Project Engineer at Abdulaziz Alsaghyir Construction Company from 2010 to 2013. In this role, they coordinated with various stakeholders, resolved conflicts, monitored construction progress, and managed invoices.

In 2009, Saad worked as an Architect Engineer at the Riyadh Municipality in the Department of Building Permits. Saad reviewed commercial building drawings for compliance with city building codes, issued building permits, and addressed public concerns regarding regulations.

With their extensive experience and certifications in project management, Saad Alarifi brings valuable knowledge and expertise to their current role as a Senior Project Controller.

Saad Alarifi, PMP® , PMl-SP® has a strong educational background in both architecture and construction management. Saad earned their Bachelor's degree in Architecture from King Saud University, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Following this, they pursued further education and completed a Master's degree in Construction Management from Thomas Jefferson University between 2016 and 2018.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Saad Alarifi has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional skills. Saad holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which they obtained from the Project Management Institute in October 2020. Saad also acquired the PMI Scheduling Professional (PMl-SP) certification in February 2021, also from the Project Management Institute. Furthermore, Saad Alarifi has strengthened their proficiency in Excel by completing the course "Excel: Introduction to Macros and VBA" through LinkedIn in December 2020.
