Cristina Ion

Cristina Ion is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in employee experience and HR technology, currently serving as Senior Director at Extendicare since February 2020, after holding roles such as Director of the HR Employee Service Centre and Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office. Cristina has successfully led initiatives such as the IT cutover during a major acquisition and the implementation of automation solutions for onboarding processes, impacting over 20,000 employees. Prior to Extendicare, Cristina held key project management positions at TELUS, where significant contributions were made to Canada's ePrescribing Solution, and was involved in various roles in pharmacy and healthcare analytics at PharmAchieve and Cubic Health. Cristina holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business and degrees in Pharmacy and Chemistry and Life Sciences from the University of Toronto.
