Brian Kirk

Brian Kirk has a diverse range of work experience. Brian started their career as an Associate Attorney at Stevens & Associates, PC in 2002. Brian then worked as a Law Clerk/Attorney at Rad Source Technologies before joining Motorola as an Attorney in 2003. At Motorola, they provided legal support to the IT organization and managed large-scale outsourcing relationships. From 2007 to 2010, Brian served as Senior Counsel at Motorola, providing legal advice on various commercial issues.

In 2010, Brian joined ExteNet Systems, LLC as Assistant General Counsel, and later became Vice President & Deputy General Counsel. In this role, they led legal affairs for the majority of the company, including managing and advising general managers on all aspects of the business. Brian also played a key role in M&A activity and financing transactions.

Brian has also been involved in the founding and leadership of other companies. Brian was the Founder & Legal Counsel at Klaren Technologies from 2011 to 2016, the Founder and CEO of Applied Energy Devices from 2018 to 2022, and the Chair of the Board of Directors at Rad Source Technologies from 2014 to 2017.

Brian Kirk received their J.D. with Highest Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, where they specialized in Intellectual Property Law and obtained a Certificate in the same field. Prior to that, they graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, along with a Minor in Biology.
