Erik Zamora

Erik Zamora is the current Chief Data Scientist at Extrasense Technologies. Previous to this, they worked as D.Sc in Automatic Control at CINVESTAV-IPN from September 2011 to January 2015. Their thesis solves some problems for autonomous navigation in unstructured environments, including a novel method for map-building based on ellipsoidal sets. Erik also introduced and studied the fundamental concepts of Known Space, Free Space and Unknown Space Assumptions to deal with the partial observability of environment.

Erik Zamora has a Master's degree in Solid State Electronics from CINVESTAV-IPN, and a Communications and Electronic Engineering degree in Electronics engineering from Universidad Veracruzana. Erik also has a certification from Coursera in Pensamiento científico.
