Jimmy Blythe has extensive experience in engineering leadership and has held senior positions at major technology companies. At Extreme Networks, from January 2015 to January 2019, Jimmy served as Senior Vice President of Engineering, leading the transformation of the company to a global competitor and launching the Envision organization to accelerate IT solution adoption. Previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at Extreme Networks, where strategic and tactical product decisions established the company as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure. At Cisco Systems, spanning from January 1998 to January 2013, Jimmy was pivotal in developing new global organizations and innovative technology initiatives as Senior Director in two divisions. Jimmy began the career at Nortel Networks and ITT, with a focus on software development and telecom data transport platforms. Educationally, Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from East Carolina University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
