Uwe Thimel

Uwe Thimel has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Executive Creative Director at EXXETA AG since 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany, and as a UX Designer and Consultant at their own firm, Uwe Thimel UX Design + Beratung. Uwe also gained experience as an Associate Lecturer at Hochschule Kaiserslautern and served as Geschäftsführer UX at CAS Software AG. Additionally, Uwe has held various roles at 1&1 Telecommunication AG and 1&1 Internet AG, including Head of Online Sales Access / Creative Director and Head of eSales / Creative Director. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Information Architect at kuehlhaus AG and as the Head of Product Management at solute gmbh - billiger.de. Uwe started their career as a Product Manager at 1 & 1 Internet AG.

Uwe Thimel attended Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1990 to 1993, where they studied Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, business administration, and computer science. Following this, they enrolled in the same institute from 1993 to 2000, earning a Dipl.-Ing. fuer Architektur degree, specializing in architecture and urban planning.
